My Leisure-Time Activities
"Work is whatever a body is obliged to do. Play is whatever a body is not obliged to do" Mark Twains once said. Everybody loves leisure time, but most people need to work and they work a lot. Sometimes they forget to take time out, to de-stress and enjoy their lives. It's hard for those people who need to work hard for living to care for their leisure activities.
As for me, I'm a high school student, so I have to study hard, learn regularly, and can only take a little on some holidays. Sometimes I prefer staying home and being with my family. I'll read some books or listen to the radio or watch TV. I also enjoy playing around on my computer or play Wii with my twin brothers. When I feel kind of tired from all things above, I'll choose to do some outdoor activities, like hanging out with friends, playing badminton or going jogging with my grandfather, he loves to jog in his leisure time. The school offers many recreational activities for its students. That also gives me more choices of leisure activities.
Most working people spend their leisure time only watching TV. Though watching TV is easy, it's no good for our health. That's why I always choose different leisure activities, indoor or outdoor.
Work is not only the important thing in our life. We all need to take our health and happiness into account when we work. Many of us work or study too hard that we become depressed. We need to have leisure in our lives to keep our lives fun and energetic. To know how to make the best use of our free time is essential! It's quite remarkable to work out a schedule which includes work and leisure activities.
Sometimes the mind needs to relax and just have fun. There is a reason why children are given time to eat and then run around the playground in their recess. They need to release their stress and so do you. So let's schedule in some leisure time every single day!
By the way, I forgot to mention about traveling. It's my family's favorite leisure activities. We had so much great time during each tour. Well...I don't have time to share my tour's experiences to all of you, but if you're interested in that, you can come to me!
